Where you can find them:

Across the globe from Iceland to Africa, and locally all around Wairarapa Moana. They are often seen perched on raised logs and fence posts around the shores of Lake Wairarapa and nearby lagoons. You can often see them spreading their wings in the sun to dry them out.

What they look like:

A large black bird with a long neck - you won’t miss them if they’re out and about!
